As Aksaray Seracılık Yat. San. Tic. A.Ş., we are implementing a significant energy project within the boundaries of Simav district in Kütahya Province, one of Turkey's regions with high geothermal potential, under our geothermal operating license No. 71.

The geothermal operating license in question was obtained in 2012 and forms the foundation of a long-term investment plan to evaluate the geothermal potential in the region. After various preliminary studies, MT and AMT geophysical surveys were conducted on-site in 2021, yielding promising technical findings regarding the geothermal reservoir potential. We are now accelerating this journey. Based on the data we have obtained from the field, it is planned to drill 3 geothermal wells by 2025. Through these wells, we aim both to clarify the energy production potential and to make the site ready for operation.

In the first phase of our project, our goal is to establish an electricity generation capacity of 25–30 MW; in the medium term, we aim to increase this capacity up to 100 MW. With the transfer of the generated energy to the national grid, we aim to make a strong contribution to Turkey's clean and domestic energy goals. However, the Simav Geothermal Project is not limited to electricity generation alone. We also plan to utilize these geothermal resources for greenhouse heating, district heating systems, industrial processes, and agricultural irrigation. This multi-faceted approach will provide significant benefits in terms of both energy efficiency and regional development.

Our project is also supported under the Geothermal Risk Sharing Mechanism (GRSM), coordinated by the Development and Investment Bank of Turkey and supported by the World Bank. Thanks to this support, investment risks before the drilling phase have been reduced, and a financing structure in accordance with international standards has been established. Our corporate vision is not only to produce energy, but also to present a sustainable investment model that prioritizes environmental sensitivity, technological innovation, and social value creation.

In this context:

• Maximum attention is paid to EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) processes,
• Social contribution is prioritized in cooperation with local stakeholders,
• National and international best practices are adopted as the basis.

Sustainability is at the heart of the project not only in terms of technical and environmental dimensions but also in supporting local development and creating employment opportunities.

In conclusion, the Simav Geothermal Project carried out by Aksaray Seracılık Yat. San. Tic. A.Ş. is progressing as a multi-dimensional and long-term investment that will contribute to Turkey's clean energy transformation. We are determined to continue on this path to bring geothermal energy to a broader audience, reduce dependency on foreign energy sources, provide economic and social benefits to the local community, and most importantly, leave a sustainable energy infrastructure for future generations.
