Our company has started its activities in the Simav region of Kütahya to explore geothermal resources and utilize them in the most efficient way. Our goal is not only to contribute to the economic and agricultural development of Simav but also to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign sources in the field of renewable energy.
The "Demirci Geothermal Exploration Drilling Project" is planned by Aksaray Seracılık Yatırım Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. within the license area number 70 located in Simav District, Kütahya Province. The project includes the drilling of 3 geothermal exploration wells by Aksaray Seracılık Yatırım Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. This project is prepared for the second round of the Risk Sharing Mechanism Program for the three wells (Öreğler-1, Öreğler-2, and Demirci-1 Geothermal Wells). The Risk Sharing Mechanism Program is a component of the Turkey Geothermal Development Project funded by the World Bank. The implementing institution is a special unit within the Development and Investment Bank of Turkey. Below are the Environmental and Social Management Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan prepared for the project to inform stakeholders.

San. Tic. A.Ş., we are launching a major energy investment in our geothermal resource operation license (License No: 71) located in Simav, Kütahya. Currently, there is no operating geothermal power plant in the region, and we aim to be the first company to generate electricity.
Our project is supported under the Geothermal Risk Sharing Mechanism coordinated by the Development Bank of Turkey and backed by the World Bank. In this context, approval has been obtained for three separate drilling wells within our license area.
We plan to begin our initial drilling operations as of 2025. Our goal is to utilize the geothermal potential of the region in the most efficient way possible and make a strong contribution to both Simav’s and our country’s renewable energy capacity.
